[21 Jan 2013 – The first page of any offering sets the theme and begins a Journey.  Proffered in this new blog, are thoughts of whimsy, tears of loss, joy of renewal, and hope of Promises fulfilled.  ~Dorothy Hazel Tarr]

Just past the sunset --
And over the sunrise --
Lies a new day redolent --
With Life's Promise --
[~ Dorothy Hazel Tarr,  (C) 2013 ]

Where lives Life's Necessities –
On the Bookshelf of Life's Dream.
[ ~ Dorothy Hazel Tarr,  (C) 2013 ]

The wind is changing -
It caught my Dreams up -
Then carried them aloft –

Aft' daylight lifts sleep's curtain –
O' mid-night hides day's shadows –
Dream's necessity lingers in my surreality.
[ ~ Dorothy Hazel Tarr,  (C) 2013 ]

Aft' daylight lifts sleeps' curtain -
O/ mid-night hides day's shadows -
Dream's necessity lingers in surreality.

Below is a poem written by my maternal cousin Emily Elizabeth Dickinson.  Emily never married during her life – but was full of feelings and thoughts that found their expression through her pen into the written word.

Dreams – are well – but Waking's better,
If One wake at Morn –
If One wake at Midnight – better –
Dreaming – of the Dawn –

Sweeter – the Surmising Robins –
Never gladdened Tree –
Than a Solid Dawn – confronting –
Leading to no Day –

Poem #450 by Emily Elizabeth Dickinson, written about age 32, an American poet, born in Amherst, Massachusetts (born December 10, 1830 – died May 15, 1886).
